StrangersWeKnow is hitting the road!

This fall we are taking the message of love, kindness, and connection on the road with us. Lots of love, hugs, smiles, and gifts will be given. If you see the PlugIn logo, you'll know we're in your city or have been there. This is all about connecting and spreading love so say hello or tag us on Facebook!

A Letters for StrangersWeKnow book.

Letters for StrangersWeKnow

Keep an eye out for Letters for StrangersWeKnow in your city! Two more notebooks will be put into circulation. The book will look something like this --->

If you find one of the books, please do participate and share your story. It's another way to keep the love flowing and growing!

One click is all it takes

Be a hero to a hero by sharing everything you see from StrangersWeKnow! More people reached means more dreams come true.

One of the hardest things for me to do is ask for help, but as are we all, I am learning.  I need your help guys. Please share whatever posts from StrangersWeKnow you can when you can. Not willynilly :) Make sure they resonate with you.

I am trying to generate awareness and support of the Everyday Heroes Project as well as the BRIDGES Program and I can't do it without you guys. For the Everyday Heroes Project, I would love to make as many people aware of the first campaign as possible. Click here or here for more information.  For the BRIDGES Program, I would love to inspire others to begin collecting items for young adults in their own communities. There is no limit to what we can achieve when we work together.

So here is what I am asking of you: One click. Click what, you ask? The share button! Pleeeaaase lol With just one click of the share button, you are changing lives. The more we know, the more we grow. The more we grow, the more we connect. And that is so important.

Love is the answer, connection is the way :)

Save the Dates!

September 3rd, 2014 is our next give away for the HomeFree program. If you are hosting your own give away, I'd love to hear from you! Click here to contact me. The more people out there gifting and helping others, the better!  If I can support or help in any way, let me know. We are in this together! :)

During the entire month of September, StrangersWeKnow will be building up inventory for the BRIDGES program.  Myself and a three volunteers are visiting local yard, estate, and garage sales as well as auctions and thrift stores. We are looking for gently used, good condition items so if you or someone you know has an extra pot, pan, plate, bowl, set of sheets, blanket, or something useful for someone starting out, please contact me here! Visit the BRIDGES page for a list of items that would be helpful.

I will be volunteering at this event next Saturday! Come out and support if you can. I'd love to see some of you there!

I just want to love.

Something I have been thinking about today is how this whole thing is about inspiring and empowering myself and others to connect within their communities.  The intent is to feel, experience, and share love. Not to be the next big thing, but to actually be out doing and supporting others in doing the same, even if on a small scale. I just want to love on everybody! That is my desire. Whether it is a hug, a smile, a kind note, money if I have it, a painting, a meal or whatever else I can do, I just want to do it and do it with love. Love is MY answer to every question and connecting is MY way, but it may not be yours :) What is it that you want to do?

Feel Good, Do Good

I am so excited about tomorrow's first #feelgoodfriday activity! I hope everyone will participate and benefit from the feel good, do good cycle. What could be better than everyone feeling good and, in turn, doing good for others. Talk about connection! We will be connecting, loving, and doing great things for ourselves and our communities. Check out the facebook page tomorrow for the first activity.

Include More People, Help More People

I am working on adding a new page to the website. This portion will contain art, shirts, and other positive and inspiring things.  If you or someone you know would like to include something in this area, let me know. I will be setting it up like a store where you can donate and receive an item of your choice. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to share. My goal for this is to include more people in this whole thing while helping more people in the process.

Go over to the Facebook page to check out a video of what I worked on over the weekend. More to come!

HomeFree and BRIDGES are coming together

The proposal for the HomeFree and BRIDGES programs has been edited and sent out. I was fortunate to have three businesses endorse the effort. The proposal can be seen here. If you have any questions or suggestions about it, feel free to shoot me an email.

I am so excited about what the future holds. I am excited about today as well. I was telling a friend yesterday, sharing love and kindness is like breathing to me. From the beginning where I am planning, to the assembly where I am pouring love into whatever I plan to give, to the distribution where I get to give what I've made away, it all does my heart so much good.

This is my life, this is my profession. I am a gifter, a giver, a lover, a friend. My soul flourishes in these capacities. What is your profession?

September 3rd is the next giveaway

We are gearing up to do another giveaway here in Tucson! As always, it is exciting to give and it begins with the preparation. Currently, we have 10 packages assembled and hope to have 25 by September 3rd. These will be fall packages so they will contain soups, rain ponchos, toiletries, water, and other non perishable food items. The goal is to have the packages go out in drawstring back packs instead of ziplocs this time around, but we will do what we have to get these things out. Even if they are still in ziploc bags :)

Big and Wonderful things in the works

Just a quick update about two new programs/projects that are in the works here. I'm currently drafting a proposal for to community outreach programs that are very important to me. One is a homeless outreach program that targets chronically homeless who either can not or choose not to transition from the streets. The other is a young adult outreach program that targets youth who age out of the foster care system. I am planning to post the proposal on the website once I've gotten it written up. I'm hoping to gain community support for both programs. I am so excited about the possibility of reaching more people! If you have any suggestions, comment, email, or reach me on Facebook.
